Holiday Cottages, Accommodation in Pennal, Mid Wales - The Old Gatehouse and Bungalow no 6, Plas Talgarth are situated on the outskirts of Pennal in the stunningly beautiful Dovey (Dyfi) valley in Mid Wales. The Dovey (Dyfi) valley is just on the southern border of the Snowdonia National Park with outstanding views all around. The area is a paradise for walkers and wildlife/nature enthusiasts alike. The village of Pennal is just 5 miles (10 mins drive) from the sandy beaches of Aberdovey together with its championship links golf course.
Bungalow 6 is just a 5 min stroll up the drive from The Old Gatehouse, Pennal and sits in an elevated position and so boasts beautiful views across the Dovey (Dyfi) valley to the Cambrian mountains of Mid Wales. The Old Gatehouse sleeps 12 and the bungalow sleeps 4 - depending on availability, they can be booked either separately or together should you wish to sleep 16 in total. Cots and high chairs available for both and dogs stay free (ideally 2 well behaved dogs at The Old Gatehouse and 1 at the bungalow).
Both have full SKY TV packages.
The Old Gatehouse, as it’s name indicates, was once the gate house to the mansion, Plas Talgarth built in 1774 - both properties are alongisde the beautiful Wales Coastal Path. Superb cycling country also, particularly mountain bikiing along the forestry trails from the door step.
Both Holiday Cottages are freehold and privately owned and are situated within the award-winning Plas Talgarth MacDonald resort. There is also an on-site restaurant ‘Y Garth’ www.y-garth-pennal.co.uk and the award-winning Riverside restaurant in the village.
